Phoenix Transworld has established itself as the reliable solution for asphalt projects throughout the world.
It is the only British company solely dedicated to the design, manufacture, installation and service of advanced asphalt mixing plants, manufactured entirely in the UK, offering an extensive range of mobile, transportable and fixed asphalt plants from 10 through to 400 t/h, both batch plant and continuous drum-mix type.
Such is the success of the company that significant corporate growth has taken place in recent years.
In 2006 Phoenix acquired CARTEM, the UK's leading supplier of spraying, surface dressing and bitumen heating and storage equipment. Sharing an almost identical customer base, this was a logical decision with significant benefits for both organisations; expertise and knowledge from both has been pooled to develop new products aimed at reducing manufacturing costs, and eventual client operating costs.
In 2007 followed the ambitious acquisition of Parker Plant Ltd, perhaps one of the most historic and renowned names for the manufacture and supply of crushing, screening and asphalt plants in the world. Turnover has since doubled and many new products have been introduced to service world markets. In the same year Universal Conveyors a major supplier of material handling systems and conveying components came under Phoenix control.
The Group company, Phoenix- Parker Holdings now operates from a centrally located 18 acre (7,25 ha) site in Leicester and oversees all aspects of sales, marketing, manufacturing, service and product development. Facilities include a comprehensive and extensive machine shop, one of the largest fabrication shops in the country and several large, enclosed fitting shops. Significant investment has been made in modern 3-D design techniques to maximise plant reliability and efficiency, reduce downtime and assure installation in the quickest possible time while at the same time maintaining a competitive cost base.
After sales service and parts provision are supplied by a team of experienced and qualified engineers available to install, service or troubleshoot equipment regardless of location. continues to unabated, with new markets being developed throughout the world. Today, sales of Phoenix products extend to more than 150 countries, supported by a worldwide network of dedicated agents and distributors.
