ROADSTAR    Mobile Asphalt Batch Plant    //    Models 500, 1000

The Phoenix RoadStar range has been designed to satisfy the needs of contractors who demand the best quality asphalt at all times for the smallest of projects in the remotest of locations to larger, major road/motorway construction projects.

The two chassis design of the RoadStar 500 & 1000 models offers a high degree of mobility and allows either plant to be relocated quickly and easily, with minimum foundations or site preparation, making it ideal for island work, urban development or general road maintenance.

Overview

The unique, compact, two chassis RoadStar 500 & 1000 feature a high degree of mobility, are very easy to relocate and allow for quick installation with the minimum of site preparation or foundations. Mounted on one chassis are the aggregate feed hoppers, dryer and burner while the other chassis supports the mixing section, hot stone elevator, primary cyclones, bag filter and control cabin.

All components are electrically pre-wired and fully tested in the factory prior to delivery. Asphalt quality is assured using a touch screen interface with a fully integrated PLC control system to give very accurate and automatic weighing and mix cycles.

Plant Configuration

Unit 1:

  • Combined four bin cold feed unit
  • Independent variable speed belt feeders
  • Collecting conveyor mounted under feeders
  • Cold feed elevator to transfer aggregates to the dryer
  • Aggregate dryer including high efficiency lifter design, thermal insulation and clad in stainless steel or galvanised, discharge includes pyrometer
  • Highly efficient multi-fuel burner system

Unit 2:

  • Totally enclosed pivoting hot stone elevator for transfer of aggregates to the screen deck
  • 2 deck vibrating, all enclosed screening process to produce four sizes
  • Hot stone storage bins
  • Aggregate, filler and bitumen weigh hoppers located within the mixing section
  • Paddle mixer utilising twin contra-rotating shafts for even blending of materials
  • Multi-bank cyclone pre skimmer
